Where do I begin? I contacted Dr. Brennes back in 2022, hoping to get a quality Nexus Letter that didn't cost me an arm and a leg. I submitted all of the required documents and, a few days later, had a high-quality letter. Unfortunately, the VA seemed to not want to accept my letter. At first, they acted as if I didn't submit it. On appeal, they acknowledged they received it but then ignored it again. I then submitted a supplemental claim but was then told the nexus letter was not new evidence. I then went to the Board of Veterans Appeals. After years of denials and appeals, in 2026, the Board granted my claim. The Board stated, "Considered together, the private opinions (Nexus Letter) are more probative than the VA examiner’s opinion.” The Board of Veterans’ Appeals specifically found Dr. Brennes opinion more probative than the VA examiner’s and granted my claim based on the strength of his rationale. I wanted to give up, but I truly believed in the letter Dr. Brennes wrote. I can't thank him enough for this!
