I am a former member of the 82nd ABN with a good number of jumps and resulting back issues from it. I had ignored these issues and just got by for a long time until filing. First I was denied before understanding and unclear what to do to resolve it.

Dr. Brennes was able to write up exactly what I needed here and I eventually got a favorable decision. I am happy that the VA finally recognizes the one major issue I have that impacts my life. He has been professional and helpful for this entire process and I appreciate the work he has done. If you have issues that are within his area of expertise I am certain he can get you sorted out.

"One of the most thorough nexus letters I have ever seen!" - VA C&P Examiner

I contacted Dr. Brennes in August to discuss a nexus letter for a back injury I incurred while serving. Although I had a service treatment records showing this injury happened while on Active Duty, I was initially denied a service connection after the examiner noted that it was "not a chronic issue". I knew that my back wasn't getting any better though, and x-rays and MRIs over the years were showing the same.

Dr. Brennes provided me with an incredibly thorough nexus letter, and I was able to re-open my claim through a supplemental claim. At my C&P exam, the examiner noted that it was one of the most thorough letters they had ever seen.

This letter ultimately resulted in my claim being accepted and a service connection being granted! I thank you Dr. Brennes, and will absolutely be following up for other injuries that I'm having the same issues with!

Dr. Brennes truly exceeded my expectations! He wrote an incredibly detailed and professional Nexus Letter that helped me get my Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) service-connected as a secondary claim. He took the time to understand my situation, reviewed my records carefully, and explained everything in a way that made sense.

You can tell he genuinely cares about veterans and takes pride in his work. Thanks to his expertise and attention to detail, my claim was approved, and I finally received the rating I deserved.

I’m so happy with his services — if you’re a veteran struggling to get your conditions properly connected, Dr. Brennes is the one you want on your team.

Dr. Brennes helped me with my Nexus letter for a secondary condition, and I’m really glad I found him. He was respectful, quick to respond, and didn’t charge anything upfront just to look at my case—which is rare. A lot of other services ask for payment before even reviewing your situation.
He wrote a detailed letter that clearly explained the medical connection and included solid evidence to back it up. The whole process was smooth and efficient.
If you're a veteran needing help with a Nexus letter, I definitely recommend reaching out to Dr. Brennes. He made a stressful process way easier.

I cannot thank Dr. Drew enough for his outstanding support with my VA disability claims. His expertise and dedication helped me secure a 30% rating for migraines and a 50% rating for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) after being denied for both conditions twice.

I’ll admit I was skeptical at first, but after reading the positive reviews and receiving a referral from another Veteran, I decided to work with Dr. Drew—and I’m glad I did. His thorough approach stood out immediately. He provided detailed letters backed by medical literature, case studies, and historical VA claims, ensuring my evidence was clear and undeniable.

His communication with me was also key throughout the process. Dr. Drew made sure I understood every step, promptly answered my questions, and kept me informed so I never felt left in the dark. As a Veteran himself, he understood the process and the struggles we face, guiding me through the higher-level review process when the VA overlooked my evidence again.

On top of his professionalism and knowledge, Dr. Drew offers his services at a very reasonable price, making it possible for Veterans like me to get the quality support we deserve without being overcharged.

I will absolutely be using his services again for a rebuttal letter and would highly recommend him to any Veteran in need of a high-quality nexus letter.

Dr. Brennes,

I want to thank you for the Nexus letter. Your letter made a difference and had a significant impact on my VA appeal decision. I brought all my medical records and your letter to my C&P examination, and the examiner read and agreed with your findings. I have now been granted a 50% disability rating.

Thank you again for your good work.

Sincerely,
Rodney Rodriguez

I will absolutely be using his services again for a rebuttal letter and would highly recommend him to any Veteran in need of a high-quality nexus letter.

Dr. Drew made me a believer. I sent him a LOT of records (more than 25 years of military and civilian diagnosis and treatment records), and he thoroughly reviewed it all and produced documentation for my appeal. He took note of my issues, highlighted those in the letter he prepared, and provided supporting medical literature and its relevance to my claim. END RESULT: the VA approved my appeal and returned a service connection and what I think is a fair rating.

I can’t say enough about Dr. Drew Brennes’ professionalism and genuine commitment to helping veterans. After many years of dealing with the VA, I am finally 100% — and Dr. Brennes played a huge role in making that possible. Navigating the VA process can be overwhelming, and working with doctors who charge excessively only adds to the stress. Dr. Brennes is not one of those doctors. He truly cares about veterans and provides the support we need without unnecessary hurdles.

I would highly recommend Dr. Brennes to any veteran seeking a Nexus letter. He takes the facts, presents them clearly, and lays everything out in a way that gives your claim the best chance of being approved by the VA.

I am a returning customer. (Please read my review Dtd. June 13, 2024.) Dr. Brennes helped me with my first claim, and I believe was the one major difference in my claim being awarded by the VA. So, why wouldn't I use his services again for my secondary claim? Dr. Brennes wrote another well researched, professional nexus letter, that was added to my claim for OSA as a secondary to my service connected lower back issues. My fully developed claim was submitted on July 9, 2025 and approved @ 50% service connected on August 22nd. And the best part was I didn't have to attend a C&P exam. I fully believe that Dr. Brennes was an integral part of this positive outcome, and I can't thank him enough. I am now at 80% service connected and feel that I am being fully compensated for the injuries I sustained during my military service. Thank you, Dr. Brennes ,for all you do for your fellow veterans.

I did quite a bit of research before deciding on Dr. Drew Brennes with Nexus Letter Doctor services. I'm definitely glad I did. I did one claim which was for my rosacea that I've been fighting for over a two and a half years. I kept uploading documents, medical paperwork, buddy letters, etc. The claim would just keep getting denied. I finally realized I needed a nexus letter. I submitted Dr. Brennes six-page long nexus letter coming up with medical etiology and references that back up my claim. I was sent to another C&P exam but the examiner was terrible. She even told me that she'd be telling the VA in her report that it's not service connected. My claim was approved three days later but at 0%. That is a win! I can always submit paperwork later fighting to increase it but man. I was super stressed out because she blatantly told me that she would advise against my service connection. Due to Dr. Brenne's amazing nexus letter, I got my disability approved. Please do not hesitate on deciding with his services because the evidence is in the reviews. Do it!

I did a lot of research choosing who would write my nexus letter and I ended up choosing Dr. Brennes and I am certainly glad I did! He is extremely knowledgeable and provided excellent communication throughout the process. I am very pleased with the nexus letter; it is very detailed/ informative. After the process, it was obvious Dr. Brennes truly cares about his patients and people in general. My disability rating increased from 20% to 40%. I would highly recommend Dr. Brennes to anyone.

After nearly 30 years since separating from the military, I finally received service connection for my knees, and I truly believe that wouldn’t have been possible without Dr. Brennes. From the start, he was professional, knowledgeable, and deeply committed to helping veterans navigate the VA system. He took the time to review my case thoroughly, provided expert guidance, and crafted a detailed Nexus letter that was central to my claim's success. What stood out most was not just his clinical insight, but his encouragement and honesty. He reminded me that the VA is supposed to give veterans the benefit of the doubt, and he helped me stay focused and hopeful when the process felt overwhelming. His letter did exactly what he said it would.

I'm beyond grateful for his help and would highly recommend him to any veteran seeking expert support in their VA disability claim. Thank you, Dr. Brennes. Your work made a lasting impact on my life.

When you use Dr. Brennes to write your Nexus letter you gain someone in your corner pulling for you and a friend. His Nexus letters are very through and well worded. He is with you the whole way through your process. In my case I was denied for a mistake the VA rater made I sent it to a higher level review under the advice of Dr. Brennes and it came back as approved without an argument from the VA.
He is a trusted veteran and a very honorable person to have on your side. He is quick to answer any of your questions or concerns. A fellow veteran had helped me understand that I needed to prove a nexus between my currently rated knee issues and the back problems I was having because of those. I did some research and found Dr. Drew Brennes. He took the time to help me understand what he could do, and even when I needed it done quickly he was able to come through and get me what I needed. His Nexus Letter was professional and well documented and the perfect addition to my claim to show the link between my issues. Thank you Dr. Drew for your help!!

I cannot recommend Dr. Drew Brennes highly enough for his exceptional work in helping me secure a service-connected secondary condition through his expertly crafted nexus letter and rebuttal letter. As a Marine Corps veteran himself, Dr. Drew brings a unique understanding and dedication to supporting fellow veterans navigating the complex VA disability claims process. I was initially overwhelmed and discouraged after receiving a denial for my claim, but Dr. Drew’s professionalism, knowledge, and genuine care turned my experience around.

Dr. Drew took the time to thoroughly review my medical records and military history, ensuring every detail was accounted for. His nexus letter was comprehensive, backed by solid research and medical studies, and clearly articulated the connection between my primary service-connected condition and the secondary condition I was claiming. When my claim was initially denied, Dr. Drew’s guidance was invaluable he promptly advised me to pursue a Higher Level Review and provided a powerful rebuttal letter that directly addressed the VA’s concerns. His rebuttal was meticulously written, highlighting errors in the VA’s assessment and reinforcing the medical evidence with persuasive rationale.

Thanks to Dr. Drew’s expertise, my claim was approved after the Higher Level Review, with the Decision Review Officer specifically citing his nexus letter and rebuttal as key factors in overturning the denial. His work is not only effective but also affordable, making it accessible for veterans like me who need high quality support without breaking the bank. Dr. Drew’s dedication to veterans, rooted in his own Marine Corps service, shines through in every interaction he’s responsive, honest, and truly invested in helping us get the benefits we deserve.

If you’re a veteran seeking a nexus or rebuttal letter, Dr. Drew Brennes is the absolute best choice. His work is top notch, and his commitment to our community is unmatched. Thank you, Dr. Drew, for making such a significant difference in my life.

I have essential tremors due to 5 years exposure to the Camp Lejeune Toxic waters. I was denied 3 times before Dr. Brennes' Nexus letter. I submitted a new claim along with his Nexus letter last Sept. Because of his letter they sent me to two C&P exams, both connected my tremors to the toxic water exposure. Yesterday they made a positive disability decision on my tremors relating them to TERA. I am very grateful for Dr. Brennes' help as I have been dealing with this for 5 years going nowhere. My advice to all veterans, never give up.

Dr. Brennes is an outstanding doctor with great honesty and integrity. He is a true brother of his service brothers and sisters and serves us all well. I contacted Dr. Brennes and explained my situation with precisely what happened to me while serving in the U.S. Navy and what I wanted to file for with my disability. Dr. Brennes not only listened but looked at all of my conditions and provided valuable feedback that led to me getting a 100% total and permanent disability within a 10-month period of my initial filing date. He swiftly got back to me and was punctual with all the follow-ups throughout our process. I shopped around a great deal before meeting Dr. Brennes; he is the best you will find. He is an honest, fair, and exceptional doctor who can write a fantastic nexus letter for you. Thank you, Dr. Brennes, for all you do for us service brothers and sisters; we greatly appreciate you.

Best Wishes, Randy Gilmore

Dr. Brennes helped to me win my appeal for Sleep Apnea after being denied and going back and forth with the VA for about 10 years. Finally submitted a Nexus Letter provided by Dr. Brennes to the VA and finally won the appeal. When I turned in the Nexus Letter to my VSO they stated it was one of the best Nexus letters they had received. Dr. Brennes was very helpful and up front about the process, would highly recommend.

I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Brennes. His unwavering support, compassion, and expertise made a life-changing difference in my VA disability journey. Thanks to his guidance and dedication, I was able to increase my service-connected rating for prostate cancer from 10% to 60%. This outcome simply would not have been possible without his in-depth knowledge and advocacy.

Dr. Brennes took the time to listen, document my symptoms accurately, and ensure my medical history was fully understood and clearly presented. He treated me not just as a patient, but as a Veteran deserving of proper care and recognition. His efforts gave me hope at a time when I felt overwhelmed and uncertain.

If you are a Veteran seeking a provider who truly fights for your well-being and understands the VA system, Dr. Brennes is that rare and exceptional advocate. I am deeply grateful for everything he has done for me.
