Dr. Brennes was extremely professional to deal with. He took the time to write an exceptionally detailed nexus letter for my back injury. Because of this my back injury was approved(originally denied). I would highly recommend his services, and you can’t beat the price!

I was proud to say that I had achieved a majority of my rating just by submitting my own medical evidence and advocating for myself. But, like the majority of all veterans I hit the wall with the VA. I kept getting denied for claims that I believed where clear as day. I reached out to Dr. Drew Brennes and explained my issue. I had been straight denied by the VA for Migraines and GERD even though I had received multiple favorable C&P Exams for both. Dr. Drew provided me with a legit Nexus Letter for both GERD and Migraines. With the new evidence in hand, I submitted my Letters to the VA which caused my case to be Deferred and got the ball rolling for another C&P exam for both cases. Once again, even after having another C&P exam in my favor, I was rated at 10% for GERD but was denied for Migraines once again. Dr. Drew advised me to submit an Appeal at the Higher Level and pointed out large amounts of areas where the VA overlooked. The Senior Adjudicator agreed and raised my GERD rating from 10% to 60% and changed a denial for Migraines to 30%. This was a huge win. Dr. Drew just changed the life of my family. I’ve been fighting for a VA rating for years with appeal after appeal and finally this week I was granted through the board of veterans appeals my claim. Dr. Drew’s nexus letter is the one opinion that the judge showed as favorable for my case when all the other VA docs opinions were incomplete and negative. Hello, my fellow veterans as you are reading this, I know you’ve been searching on how to get a good nexus letter for your claim. I also know how you feel because I was on the same boat. But I could say, you’re in the right direction.
Dr. Drew Brennes is the best… very professional, knowledgeable, and clearly knows the VA disability claim system. Plus, he also really cares about his fellow veterans.
I submitted my claim for Obstructive Sleep Apnea secondary to SC Rhinitis together with Dr. Drew’s complete medical opinion (Nexus) which he backed up with research studies by renowned researchers.
Initially, I received a denial decision on my claim. I then reached out to Dr. Drew to get some advice on how to go about this denial and he immediately advised me to file for Higher level review, which I did. Two weeks after my informal conference with the DRO, I received the Decision letter. On the letter, the Decision Review Officer reviewed my complete C-file and found that it is sufficient for rating purposes and there was no duty to assist errors noted. And guess what? The DRO cited on the decision letter Dr. Drew Brennes’ complete and detailed medical opinion (Nexus) rationale and concluded that Dr. Drew’s medical opinion was more persuasive than the VA contractor C/P examiner’s opinion, because it was based on thorough review on my relevant military and personal history, and contained a more convincing rationale. The decision: Service Connection for Obstructive Sleep Apnea secondary to Service Connected Rhinitis is GRANTED.

Dr. Drew is absolutely AWESOME!!!!! I contacted Dr. Drew to help me with my secondary claims after being denied for BPPV, Plantar Fasciitis, and Sleep Apnea. He reviewed my denial letters and medical records and wrote Nexus Letters for BPPV secondary to my SC Tinnitus, Plantar Fasciitis secondary to my SC Right ankle and Sleep apnea secondary to my SC PTSD. I was granted service connection on a secondary basis for BPPV and Plantar Fasciitis during my supplemental claims with the help of the nexus letters he wrote supporting my claims. The sleep apnea supplemental claim was denied and I contacted Dr. Drew and he advised me to take it to Higher Level Review. I requested HLR with the option to have an Informal Conference. The HLR adjudicator listened to my argument and sent my claim back down the pipeline for a Difference of Opinion. The original rater did not consider the Nexus letter that Dr. Drew wrote and the Higher Level Reviewer saw the Duty to Assist error and sent it back down to correct the error. They scheduled me for a medical opinion C&P Exam. I submitted a Lay Statement and a Family Buddy Statement emphasizing sleep apnea was aggravated by my SC PTSD as it was stated in Dr. Drew's Nexus Letter. I was finally granted 50% for Sleep Apnea aggravate by my service connected PTSD. If you have a SC mental health condition, Make sure you are talking to your VA Doctor or Therapist on a regular basis to let them know you have aggravated symptoms of PTSD and Sleep Apnea symptoms and create a medical paper trail. This will help you win your Sleep Apnea Claim. Anyway, Thank you Dr. Drew. Your letters help me reach my deserved 100% VA Disability rating Permanent and Total.

I had a couple issues not device connected and was fighting with the VA for some time. I got Dr. Drew’s nexus letter for one of the conditions. After seeing it I immediately had him do a second. Both got submitted in September under review. Both were positively adjudicated 3 months later. Got one back at 20% and the other 50%.
I have two more and definitely using the doctors expertise on those as well. His military background gives good insight and is top notch.

I had been trying to get my migraine and cluster headaches service connected since 1995. I contacted Dr. Drew and he told me he believed he could help. In 1975 I was diagnosed with thyroid disease. In 2005 it was kidney cancer. In April of 2024, metastatic stag 4 lung cancer. I’ve dealt with the VA for 14 years, and have dealt with their system. I’ve done it on my own to get a raise just for them to get to pay me for what they diagnosed and have done the wait and BS. I wanted to do it a sure way and don’t want to go through a law firm nor did I want to go back to a local unmotivated VSO. I found this website through a search and was hesitant at first. Needless to say, my fast accepted claim went through with a breeze after following the steps here and I couldn’t appreciate the service more. I was at 40 percent, and I and I have been trying to get more percentage and everything I did was failing.
